Sharjah and Shabab Al Ahli reach the President's Cup final
Sharjah beat Bani Yas 109-62 and Shabab Al Ahli beat Al Nasr 77-67 in the semi-finals.
Sharjah and Shabab Al Ahli reached the final of the H.H. the President's Cup for men, the former beating Bani Yas 109-62 and the latter Al Nasr 77-67 in the semi-finals.
In the first match Sharjah settled matters by taking all four quarters against Bani Yas, 23-19, 36-16, 24-12 and 26-15. It was handled by internationals Mohieddine Khattab and Mohammed Rayan with Zaid Dhiya.
In the second, Shabab Al Ahli beat Al Nasr by quarters of 18-9, 27-24, 18-13 and 14-21, in a game handled by internationals Yaqoub Ghabash and Amer Sijari with Fatih Oglu.
In both matches the four teams and everyone present at the two venues observed a minute's silence for the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid.
