Shabab Al Ahli win the President's Cup
A 97-79 win over Sharjah in the final at Al Nasr club gives Shabab Al Ahli a second trophy of the season.
Shabab Al Ahli were crowned winners of the H.H. the President's Cup for men's basketball after beating Sharjah 97-79 in the final at Al Nasr club in Dubai. It is the club's second title of the season after the league.
The trophy was presented by the president of the UAE and Arab basketball federations, accompanied by Ali Salem Al Midfa, chairman of Sharjah club; Lieutenant General Mohammed Al Marri, chairman of the sports games board at Shabab Al Ahli; Mohammed Abdullah Al Haj, board member and head of the executive office; and Dr Majed Sultan, board member and executive director of the sports games sector.
The final was a strong contest in front of a large crowd that enjoyed the play across all four quarters, with Shabab Al Ahli taking the title for the 14th time in their history.
