About the Federation
The UAE Basketball Association is the national governing body for basketball in the United Arab Emirates.
The Association organises every official competition played in the country — the men’s and women’s general leagues, the Federation and President’s cups, the full ladder of age-group championships and a growing 3x3 calendar. It selects, prepares and enters the national teams that represent the UAE at Gulf, Arab, Asian and FIBA level.
Alongside competition, the Association licenses and develops the people who make the game work: referees, table officials, coaches and club administrators. Its mini-basketball programme introduces the sport to children across all seven emirates and feeds the age-group national teams.
