Sharjah and Al Wasl top their Federation Cup groups
An 83-49 win over Al Nasr in round three sent Sharjah top of Group A on six points, with Al Nasr runners-up.
Sharjah topped Group A of the Federation Cup on six points after a 83-49 win over Al Nasr in round three, by quarters of 22-14, 22-11, 23-13 and 16-11. Al Nasr finished as group runners-up. The match was handled by internationals Hassan Haji and Haitham Qoja with Zaid Dhiya, supervised by international commissioner Dawood Al Tamimi.
In the second match Al Wahda beat Al Dhafra 74-41, by quarters of 27-11, 12-9, 25-17 and 10-4, taking third place with Al Dhafra fourth. It was handled by internationals Mohieddine Khattab and Salem Al Zaabi with Tamer Aman.
In Group B, Al Wasl took top spot with a 76-55 win over Al Bataeh, by quarters of 20-6, 12-20, 29-18 and 15-11, leaving Al Bataeh fourth. The match was handled by internationals Mohammed Rayan and Amer Sijari with Jihad Ahmed.
In the group's other match Shabab Al Ahli beat Jam 132-93, by quarters of 36-19, 31-14, 35-27 and 30-33, finishing as runners-up with Jam third. It was handled by international Yaqoub Ghabash with Kostas and Ali Al Bannai, supervised by international commissioner Qassem Daadoush.
