Sharjah, Al Nasr and Shabab Al Ahli have put a foot in the men's league semi-finals after winning their quarter-final first legs — Sharjah beating visitors Bani Yas 89-57, Shabab Al Ahli winning 89-67 away at Al Wasl, and Al Nasr winning 69-54 away at Al Dhafra.
The quarter-final round was to have been completed the day before yesterday with Al Bataeh against Al Wahda, which was postponed to a later date.
Sharjah's wide win over Bani Yas came with an outright advantage in all four periods, 26-12, 23-15, 21-13 and 19-17.
In a similar pattern, Al Nasr recorded a deserved win over Al Dhafra with the advantage throughout, settling all four periods 20-17, 16-13, 17-14 and 16-10.
