Shabab Al Ahli win the league final first leg against Sharjah
A 94-76 win at home leaves Shabab Al Ahli needing one more result, with the second leg on Sunday.
Shabab Al Ahli beat Sharjah 94-76 in the first leg of the men's league final at Shabab Al Ahli's hall. The second leg is next Sunday; another Shabab Al Ahli win takes the title, while a Sharjah victory would force a deciding third game, set for 23 March at Shabab Al Ahli's hall in Dubai.
In the third-place match Al Wasl beat Al Nasr 80-77 to take the season's bronze.
In the meeting between the top two, Shabab Al Ahli won the first, third and fourth quarters 19-12, 25-18 and 29-21, with Sharjah taking only the second, 25-21. The game was handled by internationals Hassan Haji and Salem Al Zaabi with Fatih of Turkey.
