Shabab Al Ahli lift the President's Cup
An 82-68 win over Sharjah gave Shabab Al Ahli the President's Cup, presented by the UAE and Arab federations' president.
Major General Ismail Al Qarqawi, president of the UAE and Arab federations, presented the H.H. the President's Cup to Shabab Al Ahli after an 82-68 win over Sharjah, who finished runners-up. He was accompanied at the presentation by Khalid Al Midfa, assistant secretary general of the General Authority of Sports, federation vice-president Abdullatif Al Fardan, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al Marri, chairman of the individual and team games sector at Shabab Al Ahli, federation executive office director Mohammed Abdullah Al Haj, and secretary general Salem Al Mutawa.
Shabab Al Ahli knew how to win the final and settle the title, tightening their grip on the first and second quarters and then the fourth, 26-8, 23-18 and 18-15. Sharjah's 27-15 third quarter was not enough to bring them back into the game. It is Shabab Al Ahli's second title of the season, days after winning the league. A large crowd of supporters of both clubs watched at Al Wasl's hall in Dubai.
