Shabab Al Ahli beat visitors Sharjah 82-69 in the first leg of the men's general league final. The second leg is next Saturday, 6 March; a Sharjah win would force a decider on the 13th of this month, while a repeat Shabab Al Ahli win takes the title.
The quarters finished 19-17, 28-17, 21-17 and 14-14, in a match handled by internationals Mohieddine Khattab, Amer Sijari and Mohammed Rayan, and supervised by international commissioner Qassem Daadoush.
