Shabab Al Ahli and Sharjah reach the Vice President's Cup final
Sharjah beat Al Nasr and Shabab Al Ahli beat Al Wasl to set up a third meeting between the two, at Al Wasl on Thursday.
Sharjah and Shabab Al Ahli reached the final of the H.H. the Vice President's Cup after wins over Al Nasr and Al Wasl respectively, making Thursday's final at Al Wasl's hall the third meeting between the two this season.
In the first match, at Shabab Al Ahli's hall, Sharjah went through at Al Nasr's expense, winning 93-87 by quarters of 26-14, 26-22, 22-26 and 20-25. The game was handled by internationals Hassan Haji, Mohammed Rayan and Salem Al Zaabi.
In the second, Shabab Al Ahli beat Al Wasl 88-64 by quarters of 21-13, 26-22, 29-9 and 12-20, at Al Nasr's hall, handled by international Yaqoub Ghabash with Zaid Dhiya and Kostas of Greece.
In a third match to decide fifth place, Al Bataeh beat Al Wahda 77-67 at Al Wasl's hall, by quarters of 16-14, 21-16, 16-28 and 24-9.
