Referees committee holds an online meeting
The referees committee met online with all court officials, attended by vice-president Abdullatif Al Fardan and board member Khalid Al Hajri.
The referees committee of the UAE Basketball Association held an online meeting on Monday bringing together all the court officials in the game, attended by federation vice-president Abdullatif Al Fardan, board member Khalid Al Hajri and referees committee secretary general Qassem Daadoush.
The meeting was held to explain the latest amendments received from FIBA, which come into force on 1 October.
Federation officials including Al Fardan, Al Hajri and Daadoush spoke about the need to know everything new issued by FIBA, and the amended situations were presented to all the referees on video.
Qassem Daadoush said: “This meeting will be held from time to time to refresh the referees' memory on everything new, and there were various examples and video clips shown on the subject.”
He added: “It was a highly productive meeting for everyone, and the friendly spirit was evident among all who attended online, where everyone is waiting for activity to return once the coronavirus pandemic has passed.”
