President's Cup semi-final line-up complete

Sharjah, Shabab Al Ahli, Bani Yas and Al Nasr reached the semi-finals of the H.H. the President's Cup after wins over Al Jazira, Al Bataeh, Al Ain and Al Dhafra respectively. Sharjah meet Bani Yas and Al Nasr meet Shabab Al Ahli next Sunday.

In the first match Sharjah beat Al Jazira 97-55, dominating all four quarters 18-12, 25-12, 31-19 and 23-12.

In the second, Shabab Al Ahli beat Al Bataeh 80-77 after the two traded control of the game. Shabab Al Ahli's advantage in the first and third quarters, 27-19 and 19-16, proved enough, with Al Bataeh unable to recover despite taking the second and fourth 29-20 and 16-14.

In a third match Al Nasr beat Al Ain 99-42, by 32-4, 24-9 and 28-12, with Al Ain managing only a 17-17 tie in the third quarter.

In the fourth, Bani Yas beat Al Dhafra 75-69 in a meeting of neighbours. Bani Yas needed the first and fourth quarters, 16-14 and 31-21, to secure it, and Al Dhafra could not turn the match around despite taking the second and third 14-13 and 20-15.
