Men's league to be played behind closed doors
The board announced that men's league matches would be played without spectators until further notice.
The board of the UAE Basketball Association, chaired by Major General Ismail Al Qarqawi, has announced that men's general league matches will be played without spectators until further notice.
The decision follows guidance from the General Authority of Sports to protect the safety of the community, and takes effect from Friday 13 March 2020.
The board had previously postponed the cup draws, including the competition's stages, to 29 March, in anticipation of the current health situation across the region and the world.
The board also decided to cancel the H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Cup, while the H.H. the President's Cup for women was exempted from postponement, with its draw to be held or otherwise decided on 29 March.
