The GCC basketball organising committee cancelled the Gulf Clubs Championship that had been due in September.
The GCC basketball organising committee has decided to cancel the Gulf Clubs Championship that had been due to take place in September.
The cancellation follows the current situation in the region caused by coronavirus and the difficulties of movement and travel to and from some countries, given the suspension of certain air and land routes, the conditions and controls on travel and airport entry and the preventive procedures involved, as well as protecting the safety of everyone in the participating delegations.
The cancellation was agreed by a majority of the members' votes, with the tournament to be held next year, in 2021.
