Federation takes decisions on the domestic competitions

The board of the UAE Basketball Association has issued a number of decisions in light of the spread of coronavirus, to protect the safety of everyone in the community, citizens and residents alike.

The board cancelled all cup competitions for the current season, for men, women and every age group.

It also cancelled the Emirati men's Federation Cup and the women's competitions for the current season.

On the 2019/20 men's general league, the board decided to carry the remaining matches over to the start of the following season, 2020/21.

The Final 4 matches for the mini-basketball, cadets and juniors competitions will likewise be played at the start of the new 2020/21 season.

The board also decided that the shield of general excellence would not be awarded this season, and that the cup draw meeting scheduled for 29 March is void.

It announced that entry fees for competitions not held this season will be carried over to the same competitions in 2020/21.
