Bani Yas force a decider against Sharjah

An 89-57 win sent the quarter-final to a third game to decide the last semi-final place.
Bani Yas's 89-57 win over Sharjah has forced a deciding third game in the men's general league quarter-finals, which will determine the fourth and last team to complete the semi-final line-up alongside Shabab Al Ahli, Al Nasr and Al Bataeh, all of whom secured their places on 16 January. The sides are level on wins after Sharjah took the first leg on the ninth of this month by exactly the same score, 89-57.
The decider is on the 30th of this month at Sharjah's hall. Bani Yas took advantage of significant absences at Sharjah, who fielded a youthful side without their leading players including their overseas professionals. Bani Yas imposed their rhythm on the second leg and held an outright advantage through the first three periods, 26-8, 26-11 and 24-18, with Sharjah taking only the fourth, 20-13.
