Another Sharjah win; Al Nasr beat Al Bataeh and Al Jazira's revival continues

Sharjah recorded another win in the UAE men's basketball league, beating hosts Al Wasl in round five of the second half of the season.
Sharjah reached a 13th league win with a 91-61 victory over Al Wasl, holding top spot on 28 points, while Al Wasl remained fifth on 21.
Shabab Al Ahli and Al Nasr chase the leaders
Shabab Al Ahli settled their match against Al Dhafra by 27 points, 109-82, to continue their pursuit of Sharjah; they moved to 27 points as league runners-up, while Al Dhafra are eighth on 17.
Al Nasr's meeting with visitors Al Bataeh finished 81-74 to the hosts, taking Al Nasr to 26 points in third and keeping the pressure on the top two, while Al Bataeh have 23 points in fourth.
Al Jazira's revival
In the same round Al Jazira's revival continued with another win, this time at the expense of Bani Yas, beaten for a second consecutive round, 66-63.
The win lifted Al Jazira to seventh on 18 points, while Bani Yas remained sixth on 19.
The fight at the bottom
Al Wahda snatched a win at hosts Al Ain, 91-57, leaving the two level on points but with the difference favouring Al Wahda (-120) in seventh, while Al Ain remained bottom on 14.
