A 90-87 win in round three of the second preliminary stage gave Al Wasl their first victory of the competition.
Al Wasl beat Shabab Al Ahli 90-87 in round three of the second preliminary stage of the men's league, taking their first win of the competition. Al Wasl secured it through a 29-13 second quarter, while Shabab Al Ahli held the advantage in the first and fourth, 34-23 and 18-16, and the third finished level at 22-22.
The match was handled by a crew of internationals Mohammed Rayan and Amer Sijari with Faleh Oglu, with a table crew of Hiyam Abdulwahab, Enad Hourani, Asma Al Balushi and Nawal Al Hassan.
