Al Riyadi beat Beirut
An 85-74 win over their Lebanese neighbours put Al Riyadi into the semi-finals and a title defence against Hoops.
Al Riyadi, representing Dubai Duty Free, reached the semi-finals at the expense of their neighbours Beirut, 85-74, setting up another meeting with Hoops tomorrow in defence of their title. Both sides produced a strong and gripping match that recalled their meetings in the same tournament last year, though Al Riyadi held the advantage for most of it. The quarters finished 34-27, 16-16, 14-17 and 21-14. Al Riyadi's Michael recorded the highest points tally, 29.
