A 91-84 win in the quarter-final first leg at Al Jazira's hall in Abu Dhabi.
Al Bataeh beat Al Wahda 91-84 in the first leg of the men's league quarter-final at Al Jazira's hall in Abu Dhabi, by quarters of 22-21, 29-19, 18-11 and 22-33. The match was handled by internationals Hassan Haji and Salem Al Zaabi with Kostas of Greece, supervised by international commissioner Mahmoud Rashad.
It was a strong contest. Al Bataeh took the first three quarters and Al Wahda the fourth, leaving Al Bataeh close to a semi-final place should they repeat the win in the second leg next Saturday at their own hall; an Al Wahda win would force a deciding third game.
