Mounir Ben Habib, coach of the national basketball team, said they had recorded an important morale-boosting win over Beirut and that the players were more focused than in the previous matches the team had lost.
He said having five defenders of similar stature had a clear effect in disrupting Beirut's attacks, and that the team played as one unit for most of the match.
He noted that the win would have a positive effect when they meet Al Ittihad of Syria in their closing preliminary-round match.
