UAE drawn with Lebanon, Bahrain and Syria in the FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers

The draw in Doha placed the national team in Group F. Qualifying begins in February 2024 across three windows.

The draw for the FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers placed the national team in Group F alongside Lebanon, Bahrain and Syria. The Association was represented at the ceremony in Doha by national teams director Rashed Abdullah Al Naqbi.

Qualifying starts in February 2024. Each team plays six games across three windows, two games per window. Sixteen of the 24 teams in qualifying reach the Asia Cup.

The winner and runner-up of each group advance directly, making twelve; the six third-placed teams enter a play-off from which four more qualify.

The remaining groups: Group A — Thailand, Australia, Korea and Indonesia. Group B — Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, the Philippines and New Zealand. Group C — China, Guam, Japan and Mongolia. Group D — Iraq, Jordan, Palestine and Saudi Arabia. Group E — Iran, Kazakhstan, India and Qatar.
